The British QS classification announced today the results of the classification of subjects (QS BY SUBJECT), where the University of Baghdad ranked highly in this classification, in addition to maintaining its lead.

The University of Baghdad stated in a statement: ‘The mother university topped the list in 6 specializations: engineering, petroleum engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, and medicine. The College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad ranked 344th in the world and is considered among the top 16% in the world.’

It added, “The classification included 4 axes: academic reputation, graduates’ reputation with employers, the impact of university research, and international research cooperation. 4,989 universities worldwide competed to fulfill the classification requirements, but only 1,559 universities succeeded in appearing in this classification.”
