Israeli forces attack Palestinians south of Hebron, suffocation cases reported

HEBRON, Monday– A number of Palestinians suffocated tonight after inhaling tear gas fired at them by Israeli forces who were providing protection to settlers attacking the residents’ lands and their livestock to the east of the town of Yatta, south of Hebron, in the southern occupied West Bank, according to a local activist.

Coordinator of the Protection and Steadfastness Committees in Masafer Yatta, Foud al-Amour told WAFA settlers from the illegal Israeli settlement of Maon attacked residents’ lands and their livestock, under the protection of Israeli forces.

Israeli forces reportedly joined in on the attack, firing tear gas canisters toward residents, causing several people to suffocate.
