Al-Maliki urges Palestinians currently in Ukraine for no necessary reasons to leave

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Riyad al-Malki today urged Palestinians who are currently in Ukraine for no essential reasons to leave the country, and for those who cannot leave to keep in touch with the Embassy of the State of Palestine and the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Al-Maliki said in a press statement that the Ministry’s team was following up with great attention the situation of the Palestinian community and students in Ukraine as well as the staff of the Palestinian embassy in the country, amid fears of a security escalation in the country.

The Foreign Minister added that he instructed the families of Palestinian diplomats and embassy employees to leave Ukraine immediately, and for the ambassador of the State of Palestine and the embassy staff to remain in Ukraine as long as the situation allows them to remain there.

Al-Maliki said the Embassy of the State of Palestine in Ukraine published on its website an announcement for the Palestinian community and students present there to register their contact information to remain posted on any new updates.
