Almost 98% of the coronavirus cases in Palestine have recovered, says Health Minister, as two die of the disease

Almost 98 percent of the total cases of coronavirus in Palestine have recovered as two more people have died of the disease in the last 24 hours and 302 new cases were recorded, today said Minister of Health Mai Alkaila.

She said in her daily report on coronavirus in Palestine that 97.7 percent of the coronavirus patients have recovered while 1.2 percent remain active. A total of 1.1 percent of the cases have died since the outbreak of the disease in Palestine in March of last year.

One new death was recorded in the West Bank, where 56 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours, and 98 patients have recovered.

In the devastated Gaza Strip, one died of the disease, 246 new cases were recorded, and 17 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, said the Health Minister.

She said 23 patients remain in intensive care in hospital, among them five are on ventilators.

So far 278,770 people were vaccinate4d against the disease in the West Bank, and 39,364 in the Gaza Strip.
