Death Toll from Ongoing Israeli Aggression against Jenin Rises to 5

Death toll from a major ongoing Israeli army air and land assault on the northern West Bank city of Jenin rose to five, in addition to 27 injured, including seven critically.

The Ministry of Health and Jenin hospitals said that three Palestinians were killed in the airstrikes that proceeded the entry of dozens of army vehicles into the Palestinian city. In addition, it said 27 people were injured, including seven critically.

A fourth Palestinian died of injuries sustained earlier, said the Ministry, which later confirmed a fifth death, Palestinian news agency (WAFA) reported.

The army launched a major assault on Jenin after midnight, starting with airstrikes before the military vehicles raided the city, concentrating on its refugee camp.

The army bulldozers destroyed several streets in the camp to prevent the movement of cars and ambulances, said local sources.
