The Ministry of Education today called on striking public school teachers to resume teaching as of Monday, saying their strike is illegal. It warned in a statement that in case of non-compliance, administrative and financial measures will be taken against them. Most of the public school teachers have been on strike for more than two months demanding better pay. Several interventions to resolve the issue have failed to yield results.
