Elderly man critically injured after being run over by Israeli towing truck

A Palestinian elderly man was seriously injured today evening after being run over by an Israeli towing truck as Palestinian residents and activists in Um al-Khair area in Masafer Yatta to the south of Hebron tried to prevent Israeli military forces from confiscating their vehicles, local sources said.

Coordinator of the Protection and Steadfastness Committees in Masafer Yatta, Fouad al-Amour said Israeli forces, accompanied by a towing truck, stormed the area and proceeded to confiscate a number of cars belonging to residents, provoking residents and spurring clashes.

A seventy-five-year-old man was reportedly run over by the towing truck during the confrontations. He was transferred to the hospital where his condition was described as critical due to a fracture in the skull.
