For the first time, a drop in number of cases of coronavirus in Palestine to less than 100 in 24 hours

Palestine recorded less than 100 new cases of coronavirus in less than 24, the first in a while, and no deaths, according to Minister of Health Mai Alkaila.

She said in her daily report on coronavirus in Palestine that the West Bank had eight new cases and three recoveries, while the Gaza Strip recorded 75 new cases and 134 recoveries.

Alkaila said 11 corona patients are getting treatment in hospitals, while five are in intensive care. No one is currently on a ventilator.

The drop in number of positive cases could be attributed to the vaccination as 437,448 people have been vaccinated against the corona disease in the West Bank and 78,620 in the Gaza Strip.
