INDITEX says statements of Zara agent in Israel do not reflect our policy

Spanish multinational clothing company INDITEX has affirmed its commitment to defend human rights and reject racism in its policies and commercial activities.

The Spanish company’s statement was in response to a letter by the Palestinian National Economy Ministry, which demanded the former to hold the Zara agent in Israel accountable for his statements and support for racist Israeli supremacist Itamar Ben-Gvir, who incites the killing of Palestinians.

In its letter, the group stressed that the statements of the Zara agent do not represent or reflect the company’s policy and opinion, stressing that it will take the appropriate action in this regard.

Last month, the Palestinian Ministry of Economy sent a letter to INDITEX asking for a clarification of its position on the statements of the Zara agent in Israel.
