Israeli settlers damage pond, irrigation network, steal water pump near Nablus

NABLUS, Wednesday, September 7, 2022 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers today destroyed an irrigation project, to the east of Beit Dajan, east of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, according to Bakr Abdel Haq, the owner of the project, which was scheduled to open on Thursday.

He said that settlers damaged a water-collecting pond and irrigation networks covering a 17-dunum plot of land, destroyed a fence and gate for the plot, and stole a water pump worth about $6000.

The project is found on privately-owned land the Israeli military government wants to seize for settlement construction, he said. It is located about 500 meters from a new settlement outpost.
