Israeli troops detonate a warehouse in Nour Shams refugee camp

TULKARM: TULKARM, Friday, April 19, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detonated a warehouse this evening in the middle of Nour Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarm city in the occupied West Bank, resulting in a fire outbreak and a loud explosion heard in the area.

For the second consecutive day, Israeli forces continue their onslaught on Nour Shams camp, imposing a strict siege, amidst vandalism and sabotage of infrastructure and citizens’ properties in all its alleys and streets, causing power outages, water shortages, and internet disconnection.

WAFA correspondent reported that the occupation forces deployed more vehicles to the camp tonight, further tightening their blockade. Meanwhile, reconnaissance aircraft hovered over the area, amid Israeli soldiers firing live ammunition towards anything obstructing their path, particularly in the Al-Sekka Street.

The Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in Tulkarm reported the arrival of two injured civilians-a boy and a child-wounded by Israeli gunfire, with
their condition described as moderate.

At the same time, there are still 17 Palestinians injured inside the camp, including two individuals with serious injuries in the abdomen and chest, and are in urgent need of medical intervention and evacuation from the camp, according to local sources.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that their ambulance teams cannot access the injured individuals within the camp because Israeli forces stationed at the entrances to the camp are blocking their entry.

The ongoing Israeli onslaught has resulted in the killing of at least two citizens, namely the child Qais Fathi Nasrallah, 16, and the young man Salim Ghanem, 30.
