The European Language Activities at Katara. organized by the Katara Cultural Village Foundation and Katara Public Diplomacy Center, in cooperation with the Delegation of the European Union to the State of Qatar and five European states’ embassies, celebrated the Italian language.
The Italian language was celebrated through a musical evening blending the beauty of poetry together with the magic of Italian music.
HE Ambassador of the Italian Republic Paolo Toschi attended the evening, alongside a lineup of Their Excellencies ambassadors and members of diplomatic missions, in addition to an audience of academics, students, and those interested in Italian art and culture.
HE the Italian Ambassador expressed his happiness for the close cultural cooperation between the Italian Embassy and the Katara Public Diplomacy Center, expressing his gratitude to the center for organizing the Italian language event, celebrating Italian art, music, and culture, and his pleasure with the large public presence.
For her part, Sheikha Ali Al Marri from the Delegation of the European Union to the State of Qatar praised the European Language Activities held by Katara, expressing her happiness at the Italian evening which was able to combine the history of the Italian language from the Renaissance to the present era, together with the art of opera.
The European language Activities are held in Katara over a period of six weeks, running through June 20.
