The first edition is for a book entitled ‘Ibn Battuta’s Secret Manuscript’ by writer and journalist Jassim Salman and released by the Dar Al-Rafidain and Al-Watad publishing house.

During the launch of his book, Jassim Salman said his book is a historical novel dealing with real events and facts and it is an imagined historical version, and the reader peruses the work as if it were an actual manuscript of the most famous Arab traveler Ibn Battuta, considering that the novel is a rewriting of the history of Ibn Battuta.
