Norwegian diplomat says Palestinians struggling to gain any semblance of a normal life

RAMALLAH- Norwegian diplomat Jan Egeland, the Secretary-General of the Norwegian Refugee Council, said today he was struck by the immense challenges Palestinians face to gain any semblance of a normal life.

“As I once again leave the occupied Palestinian territories, I am struck by the immense challenges Palestinians face to gain any semblance of a normal life,” Egeland tweeted at the end of an official visit to occupied Palestine.

“Each day seems to get harder as rising violence and oppression continue to dictate even the simplest elements of life,” he continued.

Egeland urged diplomats and politicians around the world “to help end the cycles of violence and the unlawful siege and occupation.”
