Number of Palestinians killed in tragic earthquake in Turkey/Syria rises to 81

The number of Palestinians killed in the earthquake that hit southern Turkey and northern Syria early Monday has risen to 81 after rescue workers found the bodies of four Palestinian refugees, three of them from the same family, under the rubble in southern Turkish city of Antakya.

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said the death toll among Palestinians in Syria and Turkey is likely to rise further due to the lack of information of the fate many Palestinian families in the badly hit provinces.

Earlier today, the Foreign Ministry said the bodies of a Palestinian couple were pulled out from the rubble of their destroyed home in the southern Turkish province of Adiyaman.

30 Palestinians have been found dead so far in Turkey and 51 in Syria as the number of people killed in the earthquake in both Turkey and Syria has exceeded the 26,000 mark, the majority in Turkey.
