Occupation forces tear down tents east of Yatta

Israeli occupation forces today tore down Palestinian-owned tents east of the town of Yatta, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

Rateb Jabour, Coordinator of the National Committees Against Israeli Settlements and Apartheid Wall, told WAFA that the Israeli occupation forces vandalized four tents and a shelter belonging to the Palestinian family of Shawahin.

The structures vandalized were used by the Palestinian owners for farming purposes, said Jabour.

Israel rarely grants construction permits to Palestinians in areas classified as Area C in the occupied West Bank, which is under full Israeli military control, leaving many of them with no option but to build without an Israeli permit.
