Jenin – Together – The Minister of the Interior, Major General Ziad Hab Al-Rih, opened the Arab American University Police Station, in the presence of the Governor of Jenin, Kamal Abu Al-Rub, the President of the Arab American University, Professor Dr. Ali Zidan Abu Zuhri, the Commander of the Jenin District, Major General Muhammad Salama, and the Assistant Director General of Police in the Northern Governorates, Brigadier General Marouf Al-Barbari, representing the Director General of Police, Major General Yousef Al-Hilu, representatives of the Fatah movement in the Jenin region, and the leadership of the security services in the Jenin Governorate.
The Arab American University had donated a plot of land of one dunam from its campus to build a police station with an area of ??approximately 300 square meters, which the university built.
The Minister of the Interior, Major General Ziad Hab Al-Rih, appreciated the role of everyone who contributed to establishing an advanced center, with the aim of providing as
sistance and support to the audience of the Arab American University and the local community in the region, in addition to implementing law and order, expressing his pride in the existence of a state of integration in Jenin Governorate for the public interest, stressing The Arab American University Police Station will be able to solve all cases.
For his part, the Governor of Jenin, Kamal Abu Al-Rub, welcomed the Minister of the Interior, Major General Ziad Hab Al-Rih, and all those present, thanking the Arab American University, which donated a plot of land from its campus and the building of the center, to culminate its ongoing efforts to achieve security and safety for the university’s students and nearby population centers.
In turn, the President of the Arab American University, Professor Dr. Abu Zuhri, indicated that the presence of a police station means a lot to the university, its students, and also to the surrounding local community, as this contributes to creating a safe academic and social environ
ment for the students and the university, and the university seeks development and excellence, not only within the walls of the university, But it also works to develop and excel outside.
Brigadier Marouf Al-Barbari, Assistant Director General of Police in the Northern Governorates, explained that the aim of opening the center is to maintain the security situation of the university, the surrounding rural areas, and the student housing area, and to follow up on negative phenomena that affect the educational process or the system and public security, and to speed up the response, strengthen the police presence in the region, and organize… Traffic there.
