Palestine ranks 17th in the Open Data Inventory 2022 with an overall score of 74

RAMALLAH- The State of Palestine, represented by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS), ranked 17th in the world and second in West Asia in the Open Data Inventory (ODIN) 2022 with an overall score of 74, today said the PCBS.

The Open Data Inventory (ODIN) measures how complete a country’s statistical offerings are and whether its data meet international standards of openness.

Palestine scored 74% as a total average. The overall score is a combination of a data coverage subscore of 72 and a data openness subscore of 76.

In comparison between 2020 and 2022, Palestine raised its overall score from 72 to 74. It raised its ranking from 20th to 17th internationally out of 193 countries, and from third to second place among West Asian countries (18 countries).

It should be noted that Israel had a score of 65 and ranked 46th out of 193 countries.
