Palestine today recorded 349 new Covid-19 cases and a death, according to Health Minister Mai Alkaila.
She announced that 349 Palestinians tested positive for the highly contagious virus and another died of it in the occupied territories.
As part of the 349 new cases, 214 cases were registered in the West Bank and 135 others in the Gaza Strip.
She identified the death case as a resident of the West Bank district of Nablus. No death case was registered in Gaza.
She added that 316 Covid-19 patients recovered; 171 recovery cases in the West Bank and 145 others in the Gaza Strip.
She pointed that 57 Covid-19 patients are getting treatment in intensive care units and 100 others are currently receiving treatment at hospitals, including 12 who are on ventilators.
She said that the recovery rate in Palestine has so far reached 98.2 percent and the active cases account for 0.8 percent. The death toll stood at 1 percent of total infections.
