Palestinians fend off attack by settlers on a Jordan Valley community

Palestinians fended off an attack today carried out by Israeli settlers on Arab Al-Ara’ara community, to the south of Jericho city in the Jordan Valley region, east of the occupied West Bank, according to witnesses.

There were no reports of casualties among the Palestinian citizens of the community.

Although violence and vandalism by Israeli settlers are commonplace throughout the year, attacks and acts of vandalism by Israeli settlers intensified during the past two days across the occupied West Bank.

Yesterday, several Palestinian civilians sustained wounds and fractures in a predawn attack by Israeli settlers on Qaryout village, south of Nablus.
