Palestinians suffocate in clashes north of Hebron

Several Palestinians suffocated during confrontations that broke out today in the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, in the southern occupied West Bank, according to local activist Mohammed Awad. The activist said confrontations broke out between Palestinians and Israeli forces stationed at the military checkpoint at the entrance of the aforementioned town, during which the latter fired tear gas canisters at the town residents, causing several people to suffocate. They were all treated at the scene.
