Poll: The National Democratic Assembly, al-Tajammu, is close to passing the Israeli electoral threshold

An opinion poll conducted by the Israeli Channel 13 yesterday, only days before the Israeli Knesset elections scheduled for Tuesday, showed that the Arab party, the National Democratic Assembly, al-Tajammu or Balad, received 2.75% of the votes, which indicates a rise in its support approaching the electoral threshold of 3.25% required by a political party to gain a seat in the Israeli parliament, the Knesset.

The poll also showed an increase in the percentage of voter turnout in the Palestinian towns in Israel, reaching 51% compared to only 50% in the last Knesset elections.

According to the poll, if elections were held today, the Likud party, headed by former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, would get 30 seats, followed by Yesh Atid, the party of the current prime minister Yair Lapid, with 27 seats, the National Unity Party with 10 seats, Religious Zionism with 15 seats, and Shas with 8 seats.

According to the poll, United Torah Judaism will get 7 seats, Labor will get 6 seats, and Meretz will get 4 seats, while the Arab parties, the Unified Arab List, and the coalition between Hadash and the Arab List for Change will each receive 4 seats.

The poll showed that the elections were not resolved in favor of any camp, with the Netanyahu camp getting 60 seats, one short of the 61 seats required to form a government, compared to 56 seats for the current government coalition.
