RAMALLAH, Wednesday, President Mahmoud Abbas received today at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah a delegation from the US Middle East Investment Initiative.

The members of the delegation briefed President Abbas on the initiative, its objectives, and its projects, especially in Palestine, where the foundation provides support for Palestinian emerging projects by providing guarantees for loans.

For his part, President Abbas stressed the importance of this initiative in supporting the Palestinian start-up sector and thus strengthening the Palestinian economy.

He stressed the need for these targeted projects to focus on the productive and agricultural sectors that have a direct impact on the national economy, stressing the need to pay special attention to Jerusalem in this important initiative.
