President Abbas reiterates call to hold international peace conference in accordance with UN resolutions

President Mahmoud Abbas reiterated today the call for holding an international peace conference in accordance with the United Nations resolutions, aimed at ending the occupation of the land of the State of Palestine, with Jerusalem as its capital.

During a joint press conference with Tunisian president, Kais Saied, president abbas affirmed that if the occupation authorities continue their tyranny and aggressive practices against the Palestinian people and land with its capital, Jerusalem, “we will have our options and measures soon.” President Abbas arrived in Tunisia yesterday arriving from Algeria on an official state visit.

During a four-eye meeting held earlier today, both presidents discussed the latest political developments in Palestine.

President Abbas, who met Saied in the Tunisian capital, also touched on the suffering of the Palestinian people under the yoke of the Israeli occupation and oppression as well as the situation of the Palestinian refugees at refugee camps in Palestine, neighboring countries and worldwide.

Both leaders exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interests, contributing to further strengthening their relations in all fields and activating the signed agreements between them.

They also discussed means to ensure the success of the upcoming Arab Summit, scheduled next March in Algiers, while stressing the need to restore Arab unity and come up with decisions and recommendations that would bring prosperity to the Arab nation and states.
