Presidential spokesperson condemns Israel’s approval to legalize 9 settlement outposts in West Bank

Presidential spokesperson, Nabil Abu Rudainah condemned and rejected the Israeli government’s approval to legalize nine settlement outposts in the occupied West Bank

He slammed, in a statement issued tonight, this Israeli decision as a disregard for American and Arab efforts and a provocation to the Palestinian people which he stressed will lead to further tension and escalation.

This came in response to the vote of the Israeli government this evening to legalize nine settlement outposts and connect water and electricity services to outposts, as well as for the authorization of settlement units in settlements.

The presidential spokesman stressed that all unilateral measures are rejected in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy and bilateral agreements.

He stressed the illegality of all settlements as they violate international law and UN Security Council resolutions, including resolution 2334.

He emphasized that there will be no security and stability in the region without the establishment of the Palestinian state on the pre-1967 borders and with East Jerusalem as its capital.
