The Minister of Higher Education And Yemeni FM Discuss Activating The Joint Cooperation Protocol

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naeem Al-Aboudi, discussed with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs of the Republic of Yemen, Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, the activation of the joint cooperation protocol.

The Ministry of Education stated in a statement: “The two sides discussed ways to develop scientific cooperation by activating the joint protocol between the two countries and enabling Yemeni students to study in Iraqi universities that have a distinguished academic history and presence.”

The Minister of Education expressed the readiness of Iraqi university institutions to receive students from the Republic of Yemen as part of the “Study in Iraq” initiative, which aims to attract international students, especially Arabs and foreigners, and facilitate residence and housing procedures within the environment of the universities in which they study.

In turn, the Yemeni Foreign Minister praised Iraq’s pioneering role in the field of higher education, appreciating the positive response from the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naeem Al-Aboudi, to activate the scientific cooperation protocol and prepare to receive Yemeni students in Iraqi universities./ End
