Weather: Partially cloudy to cloudy conditions; low chance of scattered rain

Weather today in Palestine is partially cloudy to cloudy with no change in temperature, remaining cold in the daytime and very cold at the night, particularly in the mountains, with a low chance of scattered rain in some areas, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, and sea waves are low.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and in Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 13°C and a low of 8°C, and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 12°C and a low of 7°C are expected. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 21°C and a low of 14°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 19°C and a low of 13°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

No change in temperature or weather conditions is expected for tomorrow, Friday, New Year’s Eve.

However, Palestine is expected to be affected by a low-pressure front on Saturday, the first day in the New Year, bringing rain and possibly thunderstorms to some areas.

The low-pressure front is expected to continue on Sunday leading temperature to drop and become two to three degrees Celsius below the seasonal average, said the PMD. Rain and thunderstorms are also expected.
