Weather: Rise in temperature, hot conditions

Weather today in Palestine is relatively hot to hot in most districts and very hot in the Jordan Valley in the daytime with a rise in temperature, which approaches 5°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Weather tonight is moderate in the mountains and relatively hot in other districts. Winds are light to moderate, southwesterly to northwesterly, and sea waves are low to medium.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 33°C and a low of 23°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 32°C and a low of 22°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 43°C and a low of 28°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 24°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Another increase in temperature is expected on Friday and Saturday becoming 7°C, said the PMD.

Temperature is expected to rise again on Sunday, approaching 9°C.

The PMD warned people against being exposed to the sun for long period, especially from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and setting fire to dry grassy areas.
