Work of Jordan Valley farmers in their lands obstructed by Israeli occupation forces

The work of Palestinian farmers in their lands in Humsa community in the northern Jordan Valley was obstructed today by Israeli occupation forces, according to the head of Atouf/al-Ras al-Ahmar village council Abdullah Bisharat.

He told WAFA that soldiers obstructed the work of the farmers in picking up their crops and confiscated a tractor used by one of the farmers for several hours before releasing it.

This is the second day in a row Israeli forces obstruct the work of Palestinian farmers in the northern Jordan Valley.

Further south and near the city of Jericho, Israeli occupation forces destroyed a fence built around a house in the village of al-Diyouk al-Tahta, north of Jericho, and also demolished a storage room.

According to Issam Samrat, a local activist, the house owner, who is a resident of Jerusalem, received a demolition order against the fence and the room three days ago under the pretext of construction without a permit in an area classified as C, which is under full Israeli military control.
