The Yemeni Coffee Unit of the Higher Agricultural and Fisheries Committee has completed the final arrangements for the Sana’a International Coffee Exhibition and the Coffee Marketing Festival, which will kick off on Sunday at Al-Sabeen Park in Amanat Al-Asimah.
The exhibition and festival, organized by the Supreme Agricultural and Fisheries Committee and the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, aims to introduce coffee products, qualify producers, traders and companies for the foreign market, revive the history and culture of this crop, and restore its position and the civilization of Yemen as the first leading country in the field of coffee.
Mohammed Al Qasimi, head of the Yemeni Coffee Unit in the Higher Agricultural and Fisheries Committee, explained that the main objective of the exhibition and festival is to raise awareness of the importance of coffee cultivation and its unique characteristics and features.
He pointed out that the importance of these events, which come within the framework of the
activities and programs of the National Day of Yemeni Coffee, which is celebrated by the Republic of Yemen on the third of March of each year, which aims to introduce and promote Yemeni coffee to restore the glories and nobility of this important strategic and monetary crop and promote it to be a sustainable tributary to development in Yemen.
Al Qasimi called on coffee farmers and producers, exporters, institutions, bodies, the private sector, coffee-related authorities, and all segments of society to actively participate in the festival and exhibition activities and benefit from their activities to promote and display their activities and products.
He pointed out that the activities of the exhibition and festival are one of the promotional activities and programs to spread the culture of Yemeni coffee and raise awareness of the importance of the coffee tree and its status among the Yemeni people, considering these programs an important opportunity to benefit from agricultural experiences and expertise to d
evelop the coffee sector and take care of it and care for it to be the main tributary of economic development in the country.
