Childern celebrate advent of Ramadan in Old Sana’a under slogan ‘Palestine in our hearts’


Annually, the children and buds of Muammar in Old Sana’a District celebrate the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, with welcoming cheers and Ramadan cultural activities dedicated to welcoming the holy month.

Buds of Muammar celebration in Old Sana’a this year comes under the slogan ‘Palestine in our hearts,’ in solidarity with the children of Palestine in general and Gaza in particular.

During the celebration, many religious songs, poetic poems, welcome songs, cultural competitions, and theatrical clips were presented in support of the Palestinians, their just cause, and their steadfast resistance in the face of the American and European-backed Zionist aggression.

The joy and delight appeared on the faces of the children celebrating the advent of the month of Ramadan, and how proud they felt of the Yemeni people’s support for Palestine and support of Gaza in the face of the forces of Zionist arrogance.

23 Gazans died from dehydration, malnutritionEvent to commemorate WKD in Hodeida

Amman: A total of 23 Gazan children were killed of malnutrition and dehydration, after 3 victims in Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza dehdrayted and starved to death, Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced Saturday.

To date following 155 days of Israeli aggression against Gaza, death toll rose to 30,878 Palestinians and 72,400 others wounded since last October 7, the ministry’s initial statistics showed.

So far, a total of 586 Israeli soldiers were killed since last October 7, while 246 others died since start of the ground operation on last October 27.

The Humanitarian Development Foundation , the Public Health and Population Office in Hodeida province organized today,Saturday, an event on the occasion of World Kidney Day (WKD), and the launch of the charitable program for caring for people with chronic diseases in the province.

During the event, in the presence of the Director of Dialysis Centers in the province, Dr. Ayman Kamal, the Director of the Humanitarian Foundation, Muhammad Al-Rajawi, stressed the importance of commemorating World Kidney Day to spread community awareness of kidney diseases, their causes, and how to prevent them.

He pointed to the humanitarian services that the Foundation provided to kidney failure patients in the province during the past period, the most important of which were emergency operations and spreading awareness among community members about the importance of kidney functions and how to maintain them healthy by avoiding the causes of kidney diseases from the standpoint of prevention rather than treatment.

While the in
ternal medicine and kidney specialist at Al-Thawra General Hospital in the province, Dr. Maher Muajjam, reviewed the sound ways to preserve human health and kidney function from diseases, by avoiding pathogens, such as smoking, soft drinks and painkillers, and not drinking enough fluids for the body not eating healthy, beneficial food, and not exercising.

While the supervisor of the dialysis unit at the Martyr Al-Samad Center, Muhammad Allak, pointed out the importance of community awareness of kidney diseases, their causes and ways to prevent them, noting that the dialysis centers in the province provide dialysis services for 847 cases of kidney failure, including 561 cases in Hodeida city, and 120 one case in Zabid, 113 cases in Bajil, and 53 cases in Al-Qanawis.

SCMCHA meets Director of Operations and Advocacy at UN Office for Humanitarian Affairs


The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Administration and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation(SCMCHA) , Ibrahim Al-Hamli, met today,Saturday, the Director of Operations and Advocacy at the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), Edem Wosornu , and her accompanying delegation, which is currently visiting the capital, Sana’a.

During the meeting, issues related to the humanitarian situation in Yemen were discussed, in light of the worst humanitarian suffering in the world that the Yemeni people have been experiencing as a result of the aggression and siege for nine years.

In the meeting, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council explained that the humanitarian situation in Yemen is still deteriorating as a result of the aggression and comprehensive blockade for nine years, which worsened catastrophically after food aid was stopped due to Yemen’s position in support of Palestine.

Al-Hamli called on the United Nations Office for
the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) to strengthen its presence in coordination with other organizations , United Nations agencies and to work to provide assistance to the displaced and affected people.

He called for advocacy and mobilization of funds and work to restore the disbursement of aid in various sectors to contribute to alleviating human suffering and reducing the slide towards dangerous stages of suffering.

For her part, Wosornu (OCHA) explained the keenness to address humanitarian files to alleviate the existing suffering, appreciating the Council’s efforts in providing facilities and overcoming difficulties for humanitarian organizations working in Yemen.

The meeting was attended by the Council’s Director of Monitoring and Evaluation, Muhammad Al-Razza, the Director of the OCHA Office in Yemen, Marcus Werne, and the Deputy Director of the OCHA Office, Maria Rosaria.

Inauguration of agricultural season in Hajjah


The Secretary-General of the Local Council in Hajjah province, Ismail Al-Muhaim, inaugurated the agricultural season and distributed more than 15,000 seedlings.

At the inauguration at the province center, Al-Muhaim stressed the importance of supporting farmers, providing them with coffee seedlings, redoubling efforts to encourage them to grow one of the most important cash crops for which Yemen and the province are famous, promoting agricultural development, and supporting the national economy.

He stressed the keenness of the Revolutionary Leadership and the Supreme Political Council to expand the cultivation of agricultural crops for which every district in the province is famous, in order to ensure achieving self-sufficiency and achieving food security.

He pointed out that there are many nurseries affiliated with the Agriculture Office to provide farmers with seedlings, pointing to the fertile land in the districts of Bani Al-Awam, Sharas, Kahlan Afar and Mubin for growing coffee.

ed that there is an inter-plan to grow coffee with a number of crops in Al-Sharafayn districts during the coming period.

Al-Nuaimi Chairs meeting to evaluate management of planning process in accordance of national vision


A consultative meeting was held at the Executive Office of the National Vision Department on Saturday for the vision system on evaluating the management of the planning process in light of the national vision methodology “challenges, solutions and proposals”.

The meeting, chaired by a member of the Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Saleh Al-Nuaimi, reviewed the study presented on evaluating the planning process during four years of the national vision experience and identifying the most important difficulties that accompanied the management of the planning process.

The meeting, organized by the National Vision Advisory Team in cooperation with the Executive Office of the National Vision Department, discussed the most prominent reasons that stand in the way of challenges, solutions and proposed treatments to prepare for them when planning for the next stage, which would achieve the required transformation and support the stage of radical change.

In the meeting, which was attended by the Minister of Planni
ng and Development, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Kamim, and the Vice President of the Executive Office of Vision Ali Al-Mutamayez, Al-Nuaimi stressed the importance of the consultative meeting to review and evaluate the plans of previous years, address the shortcomings that accompanied the planning process, and take advantage of the strengths to advance the planning process and implement projects on reality.

Consultative meeting in Sana’a to evaluate, improve services in private medical facilities


The Ministry of Public Health and Population held today,Saturday, a consultative meeting to evaluate , improve performance indicators and health services in private medical facilities.

The meeting reviewed the results of the evaluation of private hospitals, evaluation of performance indicators, pricing, the mechanism for improving , improving services and automation.

The Minister of Public Health and Population in the caretaker government, Dr. Taha Al-Mutawakkil, confirmed that the results of the evaluation and classification of private facilities come within the framework of improving the medical services provided to the patient.

Dr. Al-Mutawakel called on all private hospitals to take advantage of Ramadan and make discounts to alleviate the suffering of citizens, urging hospitals that were rated below the standard to strengthen their efforts and improve their conditions to live up to the desired hope of providing high-end medical services.

For his part, Deputy Minister of Health, Dr. Mutahar Al-Marouni,
and Undersecretary for the Therapeutic Medicine Sector, Dr. Ali Jahaf, pointed out the importance of the meeting to announce the results of the evaluation of private hospitals with the aim of improving services.

They pointed out that the evaluation focused in its fourth session on the technical evaluation, in addition to the evaluation of the hospital infrastructure and improving services.

Standards Authority carries out field visit to shops selling gold jewelry and domestic gas filling stations


The Yemeni Authority for Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control is carrying out a field visit to inspect shops selling gold jewelry in Hajjah province and domestic gas filling stations in Dhamar province.

The Authority explained in a statement issued today, Saturday, that during the process of periodic and sudden visits to various provinces, weighing tools and devices are calibrated in markets, trading centres, gold shops and gas filling stations to protect the consumer from fraud , tampering with calibers , legal weights and to arrest violators.

While the Director of the Authority’s branch in Hajjah province, Ali Al-Hajjaji, confirmed that the necessary legal measures will be taken against those who violate the specifications and standards.

Al-Hajjaji called on the owners of gold shops and goldsmiths’ workshops to adhere to verification and calibration procedures for measuring, weight tools on a regular basis and to apply the approved standard specifications approved standard specifications.

For

Distribution of computers and office tools to agricultural offices in Qataba and Al-Hasha


The Unit for Financing Agricultural , Fisheries Projects and Initiatives in Al Dhale’ province inaugurated computers, office supplies, printers, mobile Internet networks, and furniture for agricultural offices in Qataba and Al Hasha districts, within the framework of office automation.

At the inauguration, the province’s undersecretary for agricultural affairs, Aziz Al-Haidari, stressed the necessity of uniting everyone’s efforts to create an agricultural renaissance in the field.

He pointed out that attention to the agricultural sector in the province is among the priorities of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council to achieve food security and self-sufficiency.

For his part, Director of the Interventions Unit, Muhammad Najeeb Al-Haidari, explained that the distribution of these devices comes within the development plan of the unit’s projects in the field of building the capabilities of government agencies to increase the productivity of the agricultural sector.

Civil Service issues circular regarding job discipline during Ramadan


The Ministry of Civil Service and Insurance issued Circular No. (3) of 1445 AH to public service units regarding the state of job discipline in central and local authority units during the holy month of Ramadan.

Below is its text:

The Ministry of Civil Service and Insurance is pleased to extend to you its best greetings and congratulations on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan. May God bring it back to us , to you , to the Arab and Islamic nation with goodness, right and blessings.

It would like to note that in implementation of the provisions of Law No. (19) of 1991 AD regarding the Civil Service and Law No. (43) of 2005 AD regarding the Jobs, Wages , Salaries System , their executive regulations and the provisions of the Ministry’s organizational regulations issued by Supreme Revolutionary Committee Resolution No. (54) of 2015 AD.

In implementation of the provisions of Prime Minister’s Resolution No. (130) of 2006 AD regarding the official working hours system , its amendments, and Cabinet Res
olution No. (28) of 1445 AH regarding determining working hours and official working hours in the blessed month of Ramadan 1445 AH, in accordance with the following.

1 – Determine working hours and official working hours during the blessed month of Ramadan 1445 AH as follows: –

A – Ministries, government agencies and central public bodies (except hospitals, health service centers and the like) five hours a day starting at ten in the morning and ending at three in the afternoon, and for five days a week from Saturday to Wednesday.

B – Some public , mixed institutions and companies, including the Central Bank, commercial , specialized banks, and the like, five hours a day starting at ten in the morning and ending at three in the afternoon on the days from Sunday to Thursday.

C – Hospitals, public dispensaries, medical service centers and similar health facilities and units, five hours a day starting at nine in the morning and ending at two in the afternoon, on the days from Saturday to Wednesday.

D – The p
rovisions of Paragraph (A) above apply to local administrative units , to the offices of ministries , branches of public agencies and bodies located within the geographical scope of the local administrative unit. The start time of official working hours in hot coastal and desert provinces may be advanced by one hour after the approval of the Ministry of Civil Service and Insurance based on a request administrative unit.

2 – The head of a public service unit whose nature of work or the specificity of its activity necessitates changing the start and end dates of work therein – in whole or in part – may submit a reasoned official request to the Ministry of Civil Service , Insurance, and the Ministry’s approval will only become effective from the date of the day following its issuance.

3 – The Ministry of Civil Service , Insurance and its offices are responsible for submitting reports to the Council of Ministers on the extent to which government agencies and facilities, administrative units, senior administrati
ve leadership and employees in each of them adhere to official working hours , their respect for working time and devoting its hours to performing job tasks , duties and providing services to citizens.

4 – All ministers, the mayor and governors must circulate this decision to the units affiliated with them before the advent of the holy month and follow up on their commitment to it.

The Ministry of Civil Service and Insurance calls on all public service units in the central and local authorities to submit a report on the state of job discipline in the month of Ramadan 1445 AH according to the relevant form.

Workshop on Climate-Smart Agriculture held in Sana’a


The General Authority for Agricultural Research and Extension (GRRS), in cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), organized a consultative workshop on climate-smart agriculture.

At the opening of the workshop, which was attended by about 16 participants and specialists in agricultural affairs from the Capital Municipality and the governorates, the Chairman of the Authority, Dr. Abdullah Al-Olufi, stressed the importance of the workshop to review the results and recommendations of the basic study and the prevailing situation in agricultural areas.

He pointed out that the workshop, which was organized within the framework of the program to support resilient livelihoods, food security and climate adaptation in Yemen, aimed to identify farmers’ perception of the phenomenon of climate change and the impact of these changes on agricultural production, both plant and animal.

For his part, the Vice President of the Authority, Dr. Abbad Al-Bail, reviewed the methodologies
of the workshop and the purpose of its establishment. He pointed out that the participants were introduced to the objectives and obstacles of agricultural production and how to transform those goals and restrictions into future interventions.

He pointed out that the outputs of the workshop focused on finding a common vision for the importance of applying the concept of climate-smart agriculture within the upcoming agricultural strategy and policy in the country.

Al-Bail considered the workshop one of the steps in implementing the basic study for climate-smart agriculture, and its convening comes after the end of the field survey process for the targeted areas in each of the governorates of “Hajjah, Hodeida, Al-Mahwit, Sa’ada”, and raising the priorities of the upcoming interventions in those areas.

The workshop, which was enriched by interventions and suggestions by the participants, concluded with a number of recommendations, most notably how to benefit from the results of the study in updating or working
on the climate change strategy, as well as the mechanism for implementing upcoming activities or interventions, as well as investing in the field of climate-smart agriculture.

PTC organizes closing ceremony for restructuring project


The Public Telecommunications Corporation (PTC) organized on Saturday in Sana’a a ceremony to close the restructuring project of the Corporation and honor the work team.

The Minister of Communications and Information Technology in the caretaker government, Eng. Misfer Al-Numair, stressed the importance of the restructuring project of the institution, which represents a strategic path to develop performance, pointing to the need to adhere to and implement the project outputs, processes and regulations.

The ICT Minister urged the directors general and departments to implement the project processes on a daily basis and evaluate the performance every month to detect errors and difficulties facing the work, pointing out the need to pay attention to the branches of the corporation, which is its arm, and the effective infrastructure, and to restructure the tasks entrusted to them.

Minister Al-Numair praised the efforts of the Transition Office led by Engineer Amin Al-Harthi, who had the main role in restructuring
the Foundation, as well as counterparts, consultants, leadership and employees of the Foundation.

The ICT minister pointed out that Djibouti has 9 submarine cables, while Yemen had one submarine cable in 2014, and Yemen currently has three submarine cables.

He referred to the lies promoted by the Zionist media about the bombing of three submarine cables in the Red Sea, considering these propaganda a distortion of the Yemeni position in support of our brothers in Gaza and the Palestinian people, who are subjected to a war of extermination and the most heinous crimes of the Zionist occupation.

He pointed out that targeting Israeli, American and British ships is a legitimate right to deter US-British aggression against our country and support the Palestinian people.

Seminar discusses maritime strategies conflict


The Center for Military Strategic Studies organized, on Saturday, in Sana’a, a scientific symposium entitled “The Conflict of Maritime Strategies of the Influential Countries in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab – Effects and Repercussions”.

In the seminar, which was held under the slogan (Towards a strategic understanding of the motives and movements of the countries of influence in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab and the Gulf of Aden and confronting them), the Governor of Hadramawt, Major General Luqman Baras, gave a speech in which he referred to the foreign ambitions and conspiracies facing Yemen and the region, especially the American and British.

During the seminar, which was attended by a number of researchers and specialists, four scientific working papers were presented on the first working paper of Rear Admiral Rafiq Nasser Al-Jund, “the historical background and strategic importance of the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab in light of the conflict” and touched on three axes: the history of the Red Sea, its import
ance, and the current situation in the Red Sea region and Bab al-Mandab.

The second working paper was presented by Major General Mohammed Farhan – Director of the Higher War College, entitled (The various conflicts for control of the Red Sea, regional and international strategy) and dealt with five axes: Arab regional conflicts in the Red Sea, international conflicts and ambitions, the strategy of international powers in the Red Sea, conflicts between the great powers to control the Red Sea, the strategy of international powers in the Red Sea after the collapse of the Soviet Union, and the international strategy in the Red Sea in light of the aggression on Yemen.

The third working paper was presented by the researcher, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Al-Shuaibi, entitled (A reading of the adventures of the First World War and the role of Yemen in its events in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab).

The fourth working paper was presented by the researcher, Rear Admiral Abdullah Hashem Al-Tayeb, entitled (The International and R
egional Conflict in the Red Sea and the Battle of the Al-Aqsa Flood: Its Repercussions, Effects and Dimensions), and dealt with five axes: repercussions, influences, strategic dimensions, military dimensions, maritime dimensions and repercussions of the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood, and the setbacks of the conflict and the battle for the Republic of Yemen.

The symposium came out with a final statement and important recommendations, the most important of which is Yemen’s adoption of an effective and integrated maritime strategy that keeps pace with regional and international transformations, building a Yemeni naval force that can protect Yemeni coasts and waters, establishing research divisions affiliated with the Center for Military Strategic Studies in military forces and regions, and the need to work to contain the international conflict at sea and reduce the international presence in it. Convincing neighboring countries, especially Eritrea, of the danger of the Israeli presence in the Red Sea, and emphasizing
the importance of the Red Sea and dealing with everything related to it based on this importance.
