Public Prosecution in Saada releases 370


The Public Prosecution in Saada Governorate released 370 prisoners on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

The head of the appeals prosecution in the governorate explained to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the release process, whose procedures began at the beginning of last Rajab, It carried out in implementation of the directives of the Attorney General.

Launching of Holy Quran competition in Saada


The third season of the Holy Qur’an competition, was inaugurated at the Imam al-Hadi Mosque, peace be upon him, in Saada Governorate.

24 contestants participate in the competition over a period of 27 days during the month of Ramadan, with the aim of contributing to encouraging them to teach and memorize the Holy Qur’an and promoting Qur’anic culture among them.

US-UK aggression retargets As Salif district in Hodeida


The US-UK aggression resumed this evening targeting As Salif district in Hodeida governorate.

A security source told Saba that the US-British aggression launched three raids on the Ras Issa area in As Salif district and re-targeted it with a fourth raid.

The US-British aggression launched earlier today two airstrikes on the Al-Faza area in Al-Tuhayta district, and a raid on Hodeida International Airport, and launched four raids on Al-Jah area in Bayt al-Faqih district.

Military maneuver in Sana’a


Units of the Special Forces of the Central Military District carried out one of its largest combat training and military maneuvers entitled ‘The Promised Day Maneuver.’

The maneuver simulated violent and widespread confrontation operations against enemy forces after it carried out parachute landings on some Yemeni areas and infiltrated some areas.

The military maneuvers of units of the Special Forces of the Central Military District took place according to a scenario of complex fire clashes on different terrain.

The maneuver lasted more than two hours, in which a thousand fighters from the region participated, with the participation of engineering, anti-tank, sniper, artillery, and all kinds of vehicles.

Charity kitchen inaugurate at big Mosque in Sana’a


The Director General of the Office of the General Authority for Endowments inaugurated the Ramadan charitable kitchen at the big Mosque in Sana’a.

During the inauguration, the director of the Endowments Authority office explained that the charity kitchen provides breakfast to about four thousand visitors in big Mosque and the poor people near it throughout the days of the holy month of Ramadan.

More than 285 thousand cases benefited from services of Palestine Hospital


285,381 cases benefited from the medical and therapeutic services provided by the Palestine Hospital for Motherhood and Childhood in the capital, Sana’a, during 2023 AD.

A report issued by the hospital, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), stated that outpatient clinics provided medical services to 22,079 cases of children, women and men.

It pointed out that 189,689 cases benefited from laboratory tests and the blood bank, 8,207 cases benefited from the emergency department, 14,527 cases benefited from radiology services, and 7,460 cases benefited from ECG, television, and echocardiography.

The report explained that the Department of Reproductive Health and Obstetrics provided medical services for 4,628 natural and caesarean births, while 2,201 surgical operations were performed, and the inpatient departments received 15,487 patients.

It reported that three thousand and 955 children received vaccination services for six childhood diseases, and 83 women immunized, while the thera
peutic nutrition clinic provided medical services to 332 children and women, and the counseling clinic provided 1,255 consultations to care for pregnant and lactating women.

According to the report, the Palestine Maternal and Childhood Hospital recorded the birth of 231 twins, including two births of triplets, during the past year.

Hospital Director, Dr. Nada Al-Wajman, confirmed that the hospital implemented development and expansion projects in the nursery and intensive care departments for children, the early detection unit for breast and uterine cancer, the laboratory, and the blood bank, supplying it with modern medical equipment, as well as opening the internal sterilization unit.

She explained the projects included the installation of a solar energy system with a capacity of 200 kilowatts, funded by the Ministry of Finance and under the supervision of the Ministry of Health, the opening of an epidemiological isolation center for children with a capacity of 31 inpatient beds and ten care beds, and th
e establishment of a special center for rehabilitation and health training in the hospital.

Dr. Al-Wajman reported that an internal heart clinic opened in outpatient clinics with an Echo device for children and adults and a 12-channel ECG device, as well as a dermatology and cosmetic clinic, which provided with medical equipment.

She praised the great efforts made by all the workers at the Palestine Maternal and Child Hospital, including doctors, health professionals, technicians and employees, and their keenness to provide the best services to patients, overcome difficulties, and work to continuously develop performance.

New York: The UN Security Council extended the mandate of the United Nations peacekeeping mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) until 30 April 2024.

Resolution 2726, unanimously supported by the 15-member council, decided to extend the mandate of UNMISS and authorized the mission to use all necessary means to carry out its tasks.

It adopted a resolution to approve a “technical rollover” for the mandate of UNMISS.

The resolution, the Council said, was adopted under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter.

A statement issued by a march in the Qaniya region called for a complete boycott of American and Israeli goods and companies supporting them, as a jihad for the sake of God and accessible to all.
