A large fire engulfed a number of shops in the northeast of Baquba, the center of Diyala Governorate.
A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that a large fire destroyed commercial stores in the Harouniya area, on the northeastern outskirts of Baquba, late last night, causing great material losses.
He added that the firefighting teams were able to control the fire without any casualties. An investigation was opened to find out the causes of the fire.
