Construction Cost Index up in West Bank in January, says PCBS

The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings in the West Bank increased by 0.28% during January compared with December 2022 due to the increase in the prices of raw materials by 0.46%, and the prices of rental of equipment by 0.34%. At the same time, labor costs and wages remained stable, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).

CCI for non-residential buildings also increased by 0.24% during January compared with December due to the increase in the prices of raw materials by 0.37%, and the prices of rental of equipment by 0.33%. At the same time, labor costs and wages remained stable.

CCI for skeleton buildings also increased by 0.66% due to the increase in the prices of raw materials by 1.01%, and the prices of rental equipment increased by 0.34%. At the same time, labor costs and wages remained stable.

The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) in the West Bank slightly increased by 0.06% during January compared with December due to the increase in the prices of rental of equipment by 0.12% and a slight increase in the prices of raw material by 0.04%. At the same time, the prices of the operating costs of equipment and maintenance, and the labor costs and wages remained stable.

The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) also increased by 0.15% during January compared with December, Water Reservoirs Cost Index increased by 0.81%, while, the Water Networks Cost Index decreased by 0.12%, and the overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) decreased by 0.06%, said the PCBS.
