Foreign Ministry: residence of head of Kuwait’s military office in Sudan attacked

Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry announced on Monday that the residence of the head of the military office at the Kuwaiti embassy in Khartoum was stormed and ransacked today.

In a statement, the Ministry expressed Kuwait’s condemnation and denunciation of the attack and all forms of violence and sabotage, especially those targeting diplomatic missions and their buildings.

It dismissed that such assaults as a flagrant violation of all international norms, rules of international law and the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961.

The Ministry renewed its call to the official authorities and all concerned parties in the sisterly Republic of Sudan to quickly take necessary measures to provide full protection for diplomatic missions staff, buildings and properties.

It stressed that need to bring to accountable perpetrators of these attacks.
