The International Labour Organisation (ILO) Wednesday said global unemployment is expected to drop in 2023 to below pre-pandemic levels, while estimates indicate that low-income countries are still far behind in the recovery process. A new ILO report notes that crises, including high levels of debt, disproportionately affect less developed countries, exacerbating the global employment gap between high-income and low-income states and widening inequalities.
