RAMALLAH, The three Palestinian Arabic-language dailies focused today on the Israeli occupation army’s killing of a Palestinian teenager during an anti-settlement protest yesterday in the village of Beita in the occupied West Bank.
The dailies said Israeli occupation soldiers opened gunfire at the protesters in Beita, killing Mohamamd Saeed Hamayel, 15, and injuring many others. Other protesters suffocated from teargas fired at them by the army.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida said the Israeli occupation army quelled weekly protests yesterday in the West Bank villages of Beit Dajan, Silwad, and Kafr Qaddum.
Al-Quds and al-Ayyam said the Israeli daily Haaretz has revealed that the Israeli occupation army had helped settlers in the construction of an illegal outpost near the village of Beita in the occupied West Bank.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida said an 8-month-old Palestinian toddler girl sustained suffocation yesterday as Israeli occupation forces randomly fired teargas canisters at homes in the village of Kafr Qaddum, near the city of Qalqilia.
Al-Ayyam and al-Hayat al-Jadida said Bangladesh Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen confirmed that Dhaka would not recognize Israel until Palestine is established as an independent and sovereign country free of any occupation forces.
Al-Quds said the Israeli occupation army admitted the firing of missiles on civilian targets in the Gaza Strip during the recent aggression in May 2021.
Al-Ayyam said three Palestinians prisoners have been injured in an attack by Israeli prison guards on Palestinian political prisoners in the Israeli prison of Megiddo.
