Newspapers Review: Palestinian killed by Israeli gunfire in Jenin focus of dailies

News about the slain Palestinian youth who was killed by Israeli gunfire during a raid into the occupied West Bank city of Jenin hit the front pages of the three Arabic Palestinian dailies on Tuesday.

Al-Hayat al-Jadida, al-Quds and al-Ayyam 17-year-old Mohammad Zakarneh succumbed to the wounds he sustained during confrontations with Israeli forces on Sunday in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin. Zakarneh was shot by Israeli special unit forces’ gunfire after they raided the industrial area in Jenin and targeted a vehicle.

The papers said that Israeli forces Monday overnight detained 23 Palestinians in multiple raids across the occupied West Bank.

Al-Quds and al-Hayat al-Jadida said that clashes erupted between Palestinian youths and Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank city of Nablus.

The dailies said that the Israeli settlers continued their violations against Palestinians and their properites in several areas in the West Bank.
