Palestine logs 282 COVID cases, six deaths in last three days

Minister of Health Mai Alkaila said today that 282 cases of COVID-19, six deaths and 690 recoveries were registered in Palestine during the last three days.

In her biweekly report on the coronavirus pandemic, Alkaila said four deaths from COVID-19 were registered in the West Bank and another two deaths in Gaza, while no deaths were recorded in occupied East Jerusalem.

A total of 3,815 COVID-19 tests were conducted during the reporting period, with the exclusion of East Jerusalem. In the Gaza Strip, 131 coronavirus tests came out positive, while the West Bank had 71 new cases. East Jerusalem had 80 new cases.

The Health Minister said that in the West Bank, 21 patients of COVID-19 are currently hospitalized, of whom 17 are in intensive care, including seven on ventilators.

She pointed out that the recovery rate in Palestine has so far reached 99 percent, while active cases declined to 0.1 percent. Deaths stood at 0.9 percent of total infections.
