PM stresses importance of coordinating and mobilizing care and support efforts for persons with special needs

The Prime Minister, Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, met on Tuesday, Minister of Social Affairs and Labour, Obeid bin Dhabea.

During the meeting, attended by the Ministry of Planning and Development, Abdullah Al-Shater, To discuss aspects of enhancing the level of coordination between the Ministries of Social Affairs and Labour and the Ministry of Planning in relation to the engineering of plans and programmes for the disabled and persons with special needs in order to achieve the required advancement of various aspects of the care provided to them in various aspects and to achieve the vision of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council in the care of this segment and to revitalize its role in the service of development and society.

The Prime Minister commended the efforts made by the Ministry of Social Affairs and worked in coordination with all relevant agencies to translate the guidance of the leader of the revolution, Mr. Abdulmalik Badruddin Al-Houthi, and the directives of the President of the Supreme Political Council, His Excellency Marshal Mahdi Mohammed Al-Mashat, on the continuous improvement of care and attention to that segment plus beggars and marginalized people.

He stressed the importance of concerted efforts by all stakeholders to develop government and community support and care pathways for these sectors, including the process of rehabilitation and training to help them own decent livelihoods and achieve their important contribution to the development process.
