Sharp rise in coronavirus cases in Palestine in last 24 hours recording 440 new cases, three deaths

A sharp rise was recorded today in the number of new coronavirus cases in Palestine in the last 24 hours totaling 440 cases and three deaths.

Minister of Health Mai Alkaila said in her daily report on the pandemic in Palestine that 145 new cases were recorded in the West Bank and one death, while 50 patients have recovered.

East Jerusalem recorded 138 new cases and 16 recoveries, while the Gaza Strip recorded 157 new cases, two deaths and 85 recoveries.

Alkaila said the number of corona patients in hospitals has increased to 26, while 11 are in intensive care and two are on ventilators.

Over half a million people have been vaccinated against the corona disease in the West Bank compared to only 112,731 in the Gaza Strip.
