Six COVID-19 fatalities, 1237 new cases and 433 recoveries in Palestine in 24 hours

Six Palestinians have died after contracting COVID-19 in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip while 1237 new cases were recorded and 433 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, according to Minister of Health Mai Alkaila.

She said in her daily report on COVID-19 in Palestine that four people died in the West Bank while 510 new cases were recorded and 269 patients recovered.

In the Gaza Strip, two people died, 727 new cases were recorded and 164 patients recovered.

Alkaila said 118 COVID-19 patients are in hospitals and 46 are intensive care, while seven are on ventilators.

She also said that 634,715 people (37.6 percent) in the West Bank have been vaccinated compared to 181,271 people (14.3 percent) in the Gaza Strip.
