Study promotes wider women inclusion in EMV

A government women empowerment committee on Sunday launched a thorough study on a women-empowering strategy that promotes greater inclusion in the Economic Modernization Vision (EMV). Wafa Bani Mustafa, Minister of Social Development and head of the committee, said this extensive study is grounded in the theoretical framework of gender equality and women’s empowerment in macroeconomics. The study, she added, tackled empowering women within the EMV in terms of the legislative framework, legal protection, financial inclusion, digital inclusion, structural change, education, training, and capacity building. She added that the study proposed an executive plan to empower women in future services in trade, health, education, transport, logistics, financial services, agriculture, and food security sectors as well as the pharmaceutical and engineering industries.
