سجل الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، اليوم الأربعاء، 16 وفاة و9 آلاف و891 إصابة جديدة بفيروس “كورونا” المستجد، بعد أخذ 150 ألف عينة مخبرية خلال الـ24 ساعة الماضية.

ووفق الموجز اليومي المحدث لوزارة الصحة في حكومة الاحتلال؛ فقد ارتفعت نسبة الفحوصات الإيجابية إلى 6.69 في المائة، وهي المرة الأولى منذ بداية الجائحة.

وبلغ العدد التراكمي للإصابات منذ بدء الجائحة نحو مليون و150 ألف إصابة، فيما سجّلت 6 آلاف و 880 حالة وفاة بعد وفاة 16 مريضا، اليوم، فيما بلغ عدد الحالات النشطة نحو 78 ألف حالة.

كما بلغت الحالات التي وصفت بـ “الخطيرة” نحو 692 إصابة، منها 129 حالة موصولة بأجهزة التنفس الإصطناعي.

ويستدل من معطيات وزارة الصحة أنه ومنذ مطلع الشهر الحالي توفي 400 مُصاب “كورونا”.

كما ارتفع عدد الإصابات بفيروس “كورونا” في صفوف جنود الاحتلال، إلى ألفين و274 إصابة منذ عودة انتشاره في الأسابيع الأخيرة..

وبحسب بيان للجيش الإسرائيلي، فإن هناك 3 آلاف و197 جنديا يخضعون للعزل المنزلي.

تواصل السلطات المصرية، اليوم الأربعاء، إغلاق معبر رفح البري لليوم الثالث على التوالي، في كلا الاتجاهين؛ مما يزيد من معاناة آلاف المسجلين للسفر من وإلى القطاع.

وأعلنت وزارة الداخلية في قطاع غزة، في بيان، مواصلة السلطات المصرية إغلاق معبر رفح البري جنوبي القطاع، في كلا الاتجاهين من قبل السلطات المصرية”.

ولم يتطرق البيان إلى أية تفاصيل إضافية.

وكانت وزارة الداخلية في غزة قد أعلنت الأحد الماضي، أن السلطات المصرية أبلغتها بإغلاق معبر رفح البري جنوبي القطاع في كلا الاتجاهين، دون ذكر أية مبررات.

وأثار قرار السلطات المصرية إغلاق معبر رفح البري في كلا الاتجاهين، مخاوف وقلق الغزيين، لما له من تداعيات سلبية على حياة أبناء قطاع غزة اليومية، وسط مخاوف من أن تطول فترة الإغلاق.

ويعد هذا الإغلاق للمعبر؛ الأول من نوعه منذ أشهر في غير أيام العطل الرسمية.

يشار إلى أن أكثر من 27 ألف فلسطيني مسجلين لدى دائرة المعابر والحدود، ينتظرون السماح لهم بالسفر، في ظل أزمة كبيرة في المعبر الذي يفتح أبوابه خمسة أيام أسبوعياً، ويسمح بمرور نحو ألفين و500 مسافر أسبوعياً.

و”رفح” هو المعبر الوحيد لغزة إلى العالم الخارجي، خاصة أن الاحتلال الإسرائيلي يحاصر القطاع منذ أن فازت حركة حماس بالانتخابات التشريعية الفلسطينية عام 2006.

قررت اللجنة المركزية لحركة “فتح”، ترك التعديل الوزاري لحكومة محمد اشتية إلى رئيس السلطة الفلسطينية محمود عباس، في وقت الذي أكدت فيه على أهمية الحوار بين فصائل منظمة التحرير على وجه الخصوص.

جاء ذلك في ختام اجتماع عقدته اللجنة، مساء الثلاثاء، برئاسة رئيس السلطة، بمقر الرئاسة بمدينة رام الله، وخلصت فيه إلى ثلاثة قرارات، وفق بيان نشرته وكالة الأنباء الرسمية الفلسطينية.

وجاء في البيان: “بعد استعراض موضوع التعديل الوزاري، قررت اللجنة المركزية لحركة (فتح) ترك شأن التعديل للسيد الرئيس محمود عباس”.

وأكدت اللجنة المركزية على “أهمية تعميق الحوار الوطني بين كافة فصائل منظمة التحرير الفلسطينية، لتعزيز وحدتها داخل المنظمة (..) على طريق إنهاء الانقسام في الساحة الفلسطينية، وتعزيز تمثيل منظمة التحرير الفلسطينية الممثل الشرعي والوحيد للشعب الفلسطيني”.

وتضم منظمة التحرير أغلب الفصائل الفلسطينية باستثناء حركتي “حماس” و”الجهاد الإسلامي”، إلا أن قرار المنظمة تهيمن عليه حركة “فتح”.

واستعرضت اللجنة المركزية خلال اجتماعها الأزمة المالية الكبيرة التي تتعرض لها الحكومة الفلسطينية، جراء الحصار المالي الذي تتعرض له، داعية “الأشقاء العرب والأصدقاء إلى الإسراع بتقديم الدعم للخروج من هذه الأزمة”.

كما أكدت اللجنة على أهمية الإسراع في تنظيم انتخابات الهيئات المحلية، واستكمال الإجراءات والتحضيرات لإنجاحها مع الجهات المعنية.

وبشأن قطاع غزة، جددت اللجنة المركزية اشتراطها بأن يكون إعادة إعمار قطاع غزة تحت إشراف السلطة الفلسطينية، بالتعاون مع مصر والمجتمع الدولي.

وتُعتبر نقطة الإعمار من أكبر العقبات بين السلطة الفلسطينية وحركة “حماس”، إذ تصر السلطة على أنها الممر الشرعي لأي أموال تتعلق بإعادة إعمار غزة، يساندها في ذلك موقف أمريكي وإسرائيلي معلن لا يريد للأموال أن تصل إلى حركة “حماس”، بينما ترى الأخيرة أن هناك الكثير من التجارب التي تثبت فشل السلطة في عملية إعادة الإعمار.

استشهد صباح اليوم الأربعاء، شاب فلسطيني، متأثرا بجراحه التي أصيب بها السبت الماضي شرقي مدينة غزة.

وأكد بيان لوزارة الصحة الفلسطينية في غزة، أن “الشاب اسامة خالد دعيج (32 عاما) من مخيم جباليا للاجئين الفلسطينيين شمالي قطاع غزة، استشهد صباح اليوم متأثرا بجراحه”.

وكان 41 فلسطينيا أصيبوا السبت الماضي برصاص قوات الاحتلال خلال إحياء الفلسطينيين الذكرى السنوية الـ52 لإحراق المسجد الأقصى، في مهرجان خطابي بمخيم العودة شرقي مدينة غزة، تزامن مع مواجهات اندلعت في محيط موقع عسكري اسرائيلي.

Palestine today confirmed 1,676 new Covid-19 cases and eight death cases, according to Health Minister Mai al-Kaileh.

She announced that 1,676 Palestinians tested positive for the highly contagious virus and eight others died of it in the occupied territories.

As part of the 1,676 new cases, 807 cases were registered in the West Bank, including Jerusalem city, and 869 others in the Gaza Strip.

She identified the death cases as a resident of the Gaza Strip and seven others from the West Bank.

She added that 334 Covid-19 patients recovered; 189 recovery cases in the West Bank, including Jerusalem city, and 145 others in the Gaza Strip.

She pointed that 34 Covid-19 patients are getting treatment in intensive care units and 97 others are currently receiving treatment at hospitals and Covid-19 dispensaries, including seven who are intubated.

She said that the recovery rate in Palestine has so far reached 95.5 percent and the active cases account for 3.4 percent. The death toll stood at 1.1 percent of total infections.

Regarding the Covid-19 vaccination rollout, al-Kaileh said that 748,541 people have received their first jab of the vaccine in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, including 443,918 people who received the second dose of the vaccine.

Weather today is mostly clear and hot in the mountains and very hot in the Jordan Valley in daytime with yet another rise in temperature, which becomes 5°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Moderate conditions in the mountains and relatively hot conditions in other districts are expected in the night and morning hours. Light to moderate westerly to northwesterly wind blows. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 34°C and a low of 22°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 33°C and a low of 21°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 43°C and a low of 28°C while it is expected to reach a high of 33°C and a low of 25°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

The heavy to extreme heat stress is set to continue on Thursday and Friday with steady temperature.

Saturday’s temperature is expected to drop to 3°C above the seasonal average, causing the heat stress to decrease.

The PMD warns people against being exposed to the sun for long period, particularly from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and setting fire to areas with dry grass.

A Palestinian injured in protests along Gaza’s eastern border succumbed to his wounds on Wednesday morning, according to WAFA correspondent.

He reported medical sources at al-Shifa Hospital confirming that Osama Khaled D‘aig succumbed to his wounds he sustained after being shot by Israeli military gunfire while participating in protests east of Gaza city on Saturday.

On Saturday, Israeli forces cracked down on protests marking the 52nd anniversary of the burning of Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, injuring 41 protestors by live ammunition, including 15 children.

The protest was also organized to draw attention to the 14-year-old blockade that Israel has imposed on Gaza since 2007 and Israel’s obstruction of Gaza reconstruction.

Fourteen years following the Israeli “disengagement” from Gaza, Israel has not actually disengaged from Gaza; it still maintains control of its land borders, access to the sea and airspace.

Two million Palestinians live the Gaza Strip, which has been subjected to a punishing and crippling Israeli blockade for 12 years and repeated onslaughts that have heavily damaged much of the enclave’s infrastructure.

Gaza’s 2-million population remains under “remote control” occupation and a strict siege, which has destroyed the local economy, strangled Palestinian livelihoods, plunged them into unprecedented rates of unemployment and poverty, and cut off from the rest of the occupied Palestinian territories and the wider world.

Gaza remains occupied territory, having no control over its borders, territorial waters or airspace. Meanwhile, Israel upholds very few of its responsibilities as the occupying power, failing to provide for the basic needs of Palestinian civilians living in the territory.

Every two in three Palestinians in Gaza is a refugee from lands inside what is now Israel. That government forbids them from exercising their right to return as enshrined in international law because they are not Jews.

Israeli forces Wednesday overnight detained nine Palestinians from various parts of the West Bank, according to security sources.

They said that Israeli forces re-arrested two former prisoners after storming the houses of their families in Beit Fajjar town, south of the southern West Bank city of Bethlehem.

They also detained two others; one from Ebayyat area and the other from Husan town, west of the city.

Elsewhere in the southern West Bank, Israeli troops rounded up another from the southern part of Hebron city.

They also rounded up an injured teen after breaking into his family house in al-Arroub refugee camp, north of the city.

The teen was arrested purportedly for hurling Molotov cocktails towards the nearby settler-only bypass Road 60 near the camp. He was taken to a hospital in Jerusalem.

In Jerusalem, the sources confirmed a similar military raid in Abu Dis town, east of the city, resulting in the detention of two others.

In the central West Bank, Israeli forces barged their way into al-Masyoun neighborhood of Ramallah for the second day in a row, where they broke into a prisoner’s house, turning it upside down.

In the northern West Bank, Israeli soldiers set an ambush near Jabal Sbeih (Sbeih Mountain) near Beita town, south of Nablus, resulting in the detention of a protestor who participated in the so-called “night confusion” activities aimed at disturbing Israeli settlers’ attempts to return to the colonial settlement outpost called Eviatar atop the mountain.

Israeli forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost on a daily basis across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids, which take place also in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
