President Al-Mashat to UN Envoy: “We warn against America and Britain seeking to push for escalation”

President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, said on Monday that the facts have proven that the United States of America and Britain are the ones who put obstacles in the way of all attempts to bring peace to Yemen.

During his meeting in Sana’a with the UN Special Envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, and his team, affirmed that America and Britain do that based on their vision that the continuation of the aggression and the blockade represents an economic and political interest for them.

He pointed out that “whenever there is any rapprochement between Yemen and Saudi Arabia and they reach an understanding, America rushes to send its ill-fated envoy to the region, and all efforts fail.”

President Al-Mashat highlighted the role of America in the aggression and siege on Yemen, cutting salaries and thwarting peace efforts, noting that this confirms that America is behind all the Yemeni people’s suffering and seeks to continue the war.

He added, addressing the UN envoy, “We convey, through you, to the international community, including European countries, our warning of America’s and Britain’s efforts to push for escalation. We affirm that the whole world will be affected if the escalation returns in Yemen, including America and Britain. “

The president stated that the humanitarian initiative, which responded to the demands of the tribes of Abyan, Shabwa, and Bayda to release the captive Faisal Rajab, confirms that “we, as Yemenis, are able to resolve our differences in the absence of external intervention.”

“All the propaganda promoted by the Americans, the British, and the advocates of partition has evaporated, and it confirms that the unity of Yemen is not only a political unit but rather a unity of the people, and it will not be subject to any external or political bidding,” President Al-Mashat stressed.

For his part, the UN envoy expressed his thanks to President Al-Mashat for the unilateral initiative represented in the release of Major General Faisal Rajab.

President Al-Mashat congratulates Yemeni workers on Int’l Labor Day

His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Head of the Supreme Political Council, congratulated the Yemeni workers on International Labor Day occasion, the first of May.

Below is the text of the congratulations:

I raise the sincerest expressions of congratulations and blessings to all loyal and free workers of the Republic of Yemen, at home and abroad, on the occasion of International Labor Day, the first of May.

The aggression countries, led by America, were keen to destroy Yemeni national industries to turn our country into a consumer market for its products. Hundreds of factories were destroyed, thousands of workers fell martyrs while performing their sacred duty, and then they approached cutting the salaries of all state employees.

The systematic targeting of factories, laboratories and infrastructure has led to depriving workers of job opportunities.

For nine years, state employees have been the title of the Yemeni people’s steadfastness, sacrifices, and a factor in the victory that has been achieved, and we assure you that we will not give up your rights and will not allow the enemies to ignore your entitlements, and that we will work hard to recover them from them.

Restoring the rights to its people, which is what we have been keen in all the negotiations that we have conducted to make the payment of the salaries of all state employees a priority, and we will not give up on these legitimate demands of our great Yemeni people.

The Yemeni workers have been distinguished throughout history by their creative spirit, how can they not be the children of an ancient civilization steeped in history, just as they had a distinguished role in the victory of the blessed September 21 revolution.

In national steadfastness in the fields of work and land cultivation, they played a major role in confronting the American-Saudi aggression alongside the members of the armed and security forces.

I am confident that the workers of Yemen will achieve brilliant victories in the battle of construction, agriculture and self-sufficiency, similar to what the sons of the Armed Forces have achieved in the military industries, ballistic missiles and drones.

And by relying on God and the hands of the workers of Yemen, I will overcome the blockade by cultivating the land, and I will move towards civil industries, and the workers of Yemen will have a fundamental role in building the future and renaissance of Yemen and building what was destroyed by the aggression.
