Works Minister : Arrangements began to open Sana’a – Al Dhale’ – Aden and Sana’a – Al Bayda – Abyan – Aden roads


The Minister of Public Works and Roads in the caretaker government, Ghaleb Mutlaq, revealed the start of arrangements to open the Sana’a – Al Dhale’- Aden road, as well as Sana’a – Al Bayda – Abyan – Aden road.

The Minister of Works confirmed to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that, at the request of the Revolution Leader , Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi al-Mashat, Head of the Supreme Political Council, and the Speaker of the parliament, Yahya Ali al-Ra’i, the coordination and communication process had begun to open these two important roads that serve millions of Yemenis.

The Minister appreciated the absolute interest and keenness of the revolutionary and political leadership in opening roads, especially the Sana’a – Al Dhale’- Aden and Sana’a – Al Bayda – Abyan – Aden roads, as they are among the most important and vital main roads linking many of the provinces of the Republic.

He pointed out the importance of this step, which coincides with the advent of the h
oly month of Ramadan, and which will have a significant impact in alleviating the suffering of millions of citizens, stressing the importance of all efforts to make this step a success.

Armed forces target American ship in Gulf of Aden


Triumphing to the oppressed Palestinian people and in retaliation to the American-British aggression against our country.

The naval forces of the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a targeting operation against the American ship (TRUE CONFIDENCE) in the Gulf of Aden, with a number of appropriate naval missiles. The strike was accurate, led to a fire breaking out on it.

The targeting operation came after the ship’s crew rejected warning messages from the Yemeni naval forces.

The Yemeni armed forces renew their alert to all ships in response to calls from the Yemeni naval forces, and all crews of the targeted ships must quickly leave after the first attack.

The Yemeni Armed Forces persist in upholding their religious, moral and humanitarian duties in supporting the oppressed Palestinian people, and their operations in the Red and Arab Seas will not stop until the aggression stops and the siege on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip is lifted.

Dr. Bin Habtoor lays foundation stone and inspects number of projects in capital secretariat


The caretaker Prime Minister, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, laid today,Wednesday, the foundation stone, inaugurated and inspected work on a number of service and development projects in the capital secretariat funded by the local authority.

Where Dr. Bin Habtoor, along with the Secretary of the Capital, Dr. Hammoud Abbad, the Director of the Office of the Prime Minister, Taha Al-Sufyani, and the Undersecretary of the Capital Secretariat for the Works and Projects Sector, Engineer Abdul Karim Al-Houthi, laid the foundation stone and inaugurated work on two projects to complete the construction of a second floor and the restoration of Zaid Al-Mushki School in Al-Sabeen District, and the restoration of the Maeen School for Girls in Al-Safiya District at a cost of 103 million and 817 thousand riyals.

Dr. Bin Habtoor reviewed the level of completion of the project to rehabilitate and implement a surface bridge on the eastern bank of the Al-Hashishiya Bridge in Shu’ub District, specifically the street extending from
the bridge to Marib Street, at a cost of 302 million and 248 thousand riyals, which is being implemented by the Executive Unit to establish, maintain and develop roads and public places in the secretariat with local funding.

The head of the caretaker government noted the efforts of all technicians , workers in these projects, and the leadership of the capital secretariat, stressing that the caretaker government looks with respect at all the work completed during the current circumstance in order to serve the capital of unified Yemen.

He urged everyone to redouble efforts and implement the higher directives to enhance , develop the development , service aspects and meet the aspirations of citizens.

Oil and Minerals Deputy Minister inaugurates model gas stations in Sana’a


The Deputy Minister of Oil and Minerals – Acting Executive Director of the Yemen Gas Company, Yasser Al-Wahidi, opened today,Wednesday, three model gas stations in Matnah area in Bani Matar District in Sana’a province.

During the opening, Member of Parliament Muhammad Siwar expressed his thanks and appreciation for the efforts of the Deputy Minister in providing gas to citizens easily and conveniently.

For his part, Al-Wahidi confirmed that this step comes in implementation of the directives of the Revolution Leader , the President of the Supreme Political Council and the recommendations of the parliament to cover the needs of citizens for domestic gas, especially with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.

He stressed the need for station owners to adhere to security, safety , weight standards, and to open stations 24 hours a day, to meet the needs of citizens, whether in filling cars or cylinders.

For their part, a number of citizens expressed their thanks to the Yemeni Gas Company for its role in ope
ning service projects that contribute to meeting their needs and alleviating their suffering.

Industry Ministry launches Ramadan program for 1445 AH


The Minister of Industry and Trade in the caretaker government, Muhammad Sharaf Al-Mutahhar, inaugurated today,Wednesday, the Ministry’s Ramadan program for the year 1445 AH.

During the inauguration event, which was attended by the Undersecretary for the Business Services Sector, Abdel Fattah Al-Thwaid, Minister Al-Mutahhar considered the Ramadan program an annual station of faith to purify the soul and use the time to get closer to God and increase the acts of righteousness, goodness and solidarity.

He called on everyone to be careful to benefit from the Ramadan lectures of Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi and to reflect their contents on behavior and reality.

Dhaifallah discussed plan activities of Al-Aqsa Support Campaign in Hodeida during Ramadan


A meeting in Hodeida province, chaired on Wednesday by the Minister of Information in the caretaker government, member of the Central Committee for the Support of Al-Aqsa Dhaifallah Al-Shami, discussed the plan and activities of the campaign to support the Palestinian people during the month of Ramadan.

The meeting, which included Governor Mohammed Qahim, First Undersecretary of the Governorate Ahmed Al-Bishri, deputy governors and officials of offices and concerned authorities, reviewed the paths of expanding programs and escalating solidarity activities in support of the Palestinian people and keeping pace with the operations of the armed forces to deter ships and battleships of the American, British and Zionist enemy.

He touched on the mechanisms for adopting new squares to organize mass marches in order to facilitate citizens to travel to participate through the nearest square to the governorate’s directorates, as well as activating the role of the official and popular side in holding stands, events and
solidarity seminars.

Caretaker PM launches ‘Welcome Ramadan’ hygiene campaign


The caretaker Prime Minister, Dr. Abdulaziz Bin Habtoor, launched today ,Wednesday, in Bab al-Yemen in Sana’a, the campaign “Our Identity is Values and Conduct for Cleanliness and Awareness” under the slogan “Welcome Ramadan.”

Where Dr. Bin Habtoor, along with Agriculture and Water Ministers in the caretaker government, Engineers Abdul-Malik Al-Thawr and Abdul-Raqib Al-Sharmani, the Mayor of the Capital, Dr. Hammoud Abbad, the Director of the Prime Minister’s Office, Taha Al-Sufyani, and a number of officials, participated with citizens in cleaning the site, marking the launch of the campaign that aims to embody the culture of cleanliness as tangible faith behavior in homes, streets, neighborhoods and cities.

At the inauguration, Dr. Bin Habtoor expressed his happiness with the participation of the leadership of the Capital Municipality, its officials, and citizens in launching the ‘Welcome Ramadan’ cleanliness campaign as part of a culture of faith and civilized behavior.

He stressed the importance of eve
ryone in the Capital Municipality and the provinces welcoming the blessed month of Ramadan with a comprehensive cleanliness campaign.

He also, thanked the mayor of the capital, who worked to provide the necessary capabilities for the campaign throughout the capital’s districts, ministries, institutions, and all local units.

In turn, the Mayor of the Capital explained that the campaign comes within the framework of preparing to welcome the month of Ramadan, with its solidarity , cooperation, and stimulating the spirit of high values that characterize Yemeni society.

He stressed the importance of maintaining cleanliness, especially the streets, squares, parks ,sidewalks, and the commitment to removing harm from the streets and keeping the roads clean.

Following the inauguration, Dr. Bin Habtoor, along with the Minister of Agriculture, inspected the ongoing construction and renovation work in the Bab al-Yaman restoration project and the internal and external courtyards surrounding it.

from the mayor of the capital, the engineers and those in charge of the project, an explanation of the progress of work and the stages included in the project… stressing their keenness to complete the project in the optimal manner and to use materials that are compatible with the materials used in the construction of the historic Yemen Gate and the courtyards surrounding it.

Meeting headed by Industry Minister discusses supporting local date production


A meeting in Sana’a today,Wednesday, headed by the Caretaker Industry and Trade Minister , Muhammad Sharaf Al-Mutahhar, discussed mechanisms for cooperation and coordination between date growers, packaging factories , and supporting local date production.

In the meeting, which was attended by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, Dr. Radwan Al-Rubai, a number of date merchants and representatives of date processing and packaging factories, Minister Al-Mutahhar confirmed the Ministry’s readiness to provide support and facilities to support local production of dates.

The Minister stressed the importance of developing a joint action plan between the Ministries of Industry , Agriculture, farmers, date packing and packaging factories to develop local production and increase the share of Yemeni dates in local markets.

He reported that the Ministry of Agriculture carried out an agricultural survey of date farms in Al-Jawf , Tihama and developed a plan to develop local production of this important com
modity.

The meeting approved the formation of a committee from the Ministries of Industry and Trade, Agriculture and Irrigation, date merchants, representatives of date packing and packaging factories to identify obstacles and develop a chronic executive work matrix to address them in a way that contributes to developing the cultivation , production of dates and increasing the local market share of them.

FM meets Director of Operations and Advocacy at OCHA


The Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs, Engineer Hisham Sharaf Abdullah, met today,Wednesday, with the Director of Operations and Advocacy at the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), Ms. Edem Wosornu, and her accompanying delegation, which is currently visiting the capital, Sana’a.

During the meeting, issues related to the humanitarian situation in the Republic of Yemen were discussed, in light of the aggression and siege it has been experiencing for nine years.

In the meeting, Minister Sharaf explained that the humanitarian situation in Yemen is still deteriorating as a result of the aggression and comprehensive blockade since March 26, 2015.

He described the situation as the worst human-made humanitarian disaster, indicating that the deterioration of the humanitarian situation is not limited to a limited area, but rather includes most of the provinces of the Republic.

The caretaker Foreign Minister called on the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Human
itarian Affairs (OCHA) to strengthen its presence in coordination with the rest of the United Nations organizations, programs and agencies and to provide more assistance to several sectors in many provinces, especially those displaced from their areas and those who lost their jobs.

For her part, Ms. Wosornu explained that the humanitarian situation in the Republic of Yemen occupies a priority on the United Nations agenda.

Comprehensive cleaning campaign launched in Hajjah of preparing for Ramadan


The Secretary-General of the Local Council in Hajjah province, Ismail Al-Muhaim, launched on Wednesday a comprehensive cleaning campaign with community participation, organized by the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund in preparation for the month of Ramadan.

At the inauguration with the participation of the province’s undersecretaries, Mohammed Al-Qadi and Dr. Taha Al-Hamzi, Al-Muhaeem stressed the need for everyone to interact with the campaign, as cleanliness is a responsibility that requires cooperation to maintain the cleanliness of streets and neighborhoods in the province center and districts.

He praised the efforts of the cleaners and the community in implementing the campaign, which contributes to highlighting the civilized face of the city.

The Fund’s Executive Director, Hamza Sharafeddine, explained that the campaign, which is being implemented by more than 310 workers and 37 cleaning mechanisms in the governorate center and directorates, will continue until the removal of waste from all directora
tes.

He called on everyone to cooperate with cleaners in all neighborhoods by placing waste in designated bags and designated places to ensure the success of the campaign.

In addition, the Hygiene and Improvement Fund organized a campaign to combat stray dogs in the streets of the governorate center.

The Executive Director of the Fund explained that the campaign resulted in the extermination of 448 dogs to maintain the safety of citizens.

The Sana’a International Coffee Fair and Marketing Carnival see variable activities that massively attracted visitors keen to buy the best quality of coffee.

The 5-day Fair and Carnival are a good marketing opportunity, as 150 coffee producers, companies and associations arrived at Sabeen Park to display their products of Yemeni unique coffee for clients in multiple sections.

On the 4th day of the Fair, cultural activities focused on giving information and practical knowledge on the Yemeni coffee and the historic port and city of Mocha, in addition to a photo display for Mocha City and an exhibition for plastic arts and public clothes.
