Clashes erupt in Nablus-area town, injuries reported

A Palestinian was shot and injured today with a rubber-coated steel bullet, and others suffocate during clashes that broke out with Israeli forces in the town of Beita to the south of Nablus, according to Ahmad Jibril, director of the ambulance service with the Red Crescent in Nablus.

He told WAFA that a Palestinian was struck with a rubber-coated steel bullet, and at least 20 people suffocated by tear gas fired at them by Israeli forces during clashes that broke out at Jabal Sbaih and the entrance to the town of Beita in Nablus.

In Nablus’ town of Beit Dajan, Israeli forces attacked with tear gas a rally called for to defend Palestinian land threatened with confiscation, east of Beit Dajan, to make room for Israeli colonial settlement construction.
