Death toll of Israeli aggression on Gaza rises to 232, 1,697 injured

The death toll of the ongoing brutal Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 232, with 1,697 others injured, since early today morning, according to a latest update by the Ministry of Health (MoH). MoH said in a statement that its medical teams across the besieged Gaza Strip are working tirelessly to save dozens of critical and severe cases in operating rooms and intensive care units. An emergency plan has also been put in place and the highest level of emergency has been declared in all healthcare facilities and ambulance units, added the statement. In response to the escalating situation, said the Ministry of Health, it has suspended outpatient clinics and scheduled surgeries to enhance readiness and preparedness. The Ministry of Health pointed out that its readiness remains limited due to the ongoing Israeli blockade, which has led to a severe shortage of medicines and medical supplies. The Ministry strongly condemned the repeated targeting of medical personnel and healthcare facilities by Israeli fighter jets, which has resulted in the murder of three healthcare workers and the injury of three others due to direct targeting of the Indonesian Hospital and the Nasser Medical Complex. Additionally, five government and private ambulances have been destroyed in these attacks. The Ministry of Health urged the international community to intervene and protect medical personnel, healthcare facilities, and ambulances from Israeli attacks, ensuring the safety of medical teams as they provide life-saving care to the Palestinian people amidst the ongoing Israeli aggression.
