Discussing procedures for controlling meat selling prices in Sana’a

A meeting in Sana’a province, headed by the province’s undersecretary for the services sector, Fares Al-Kahali, discussed procedures for controlling meat selling prices in it.

In the meeting, Al-Kahali stressed the necessity of adhering to the new pricing, and coordinating with the concerned authorities in the capital secretariat, taking into account the citizens’ circumstances, especially with the decline in livestock prices.

He directed the concerned authorities to follow up on the implementation of the new price list and implement it, and to monitor and control any violations, stressing the keenness of the local authority leadership to maintain the new price list and not violate it, urging sellers to adhere so that legal penalties are not taken against them.

At the meeting, the director of the branch of the General Corporation for Slaughterhouses in the province, Sharaf Al-Jawfi, reviewed the difficulties and problems faced by the corporation’s branch, as a result of the lack of unification of the price
list in the province and the capital secretariat, especially in the overlapping areas.

Al-Jawfi explained that the approved price list stipulated the upper limit for the prices of all types of meat, and it was approved several months ago, in agreement with meat sellers in the province, but the new price list in the capital secretariat was approved for an increase in price compared to what is in the governorate.
