Israel hands demolition notice, maps another home for demolition near Jenin

Israeli occupation forces handed today a notice of an imminent house demolition and mapped another house for future demolition in the village of Rummaneh, to the northwest of Jenin in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

WAFA correspondent said an Israeli military force stormed the village and handed the family of Sobhi Sbeihat, a Palestinan prisoner in Israeli jails, a notification of Israel’s intention to punitively demolish their house soon.

The Israeli occupation forces also mapped the house of the family of As’ad Refai, another prisoner in Israeli jails, for future punitive demolition.

Israeli occupation authorities have long used to punitively demolish the family homes of Palestinians accused of carrying out attacks on Israelis, a policy that Israel does not apply to Israeli settlers who are involved in fatal attacks against Palestinians.

The policy has been widely condemned by human rights groups as a collective punishment and a war crime.
